Squidwrench Festivus?

After the success of our Squidwrench Halloween, I was thinking of doing a holiday activity in December. Getting a bunch of people together to build gingerbread houses is the idea that comes to mind. Painting ornaments might also be a fun, creative, and cheap idea.

Since we are thinking about it in advance, we also can consider having the holiday event on a different day of the week to accomodate more people.

pladd is checking on access

pladd is checking on access to the big kitchen so we can make the gingerbread pieces there. As long as that happens, I think you'll only need to bring candy with which to decorate and perhaps some food coloring if you want icing that isn't white.

Oh, yeah. Bring lots of enthusiasm and ideas. (-:

I am excited about the ginger bread house making. What might we bring?

I can also get other

I can also get other festivus-related activities going - oriental trading has scratch-off ornaments that are pretty cheap, we can probably get some clear glass ornaments and paint them as well.

That sounds pretty good to

That sounds pretty good to me. I think my schedule is still pretty open for December, too, so I'm flexible on the day.

We could also have a gingerbread architecture night, to trade ideas and mock up houses with posterboard.
