Emotiv!!!!

Super excited about this product! I wish I had $500 though .... :( Maybe we could all go in on one and have a time share?

At the risk of sounding like 'that guy', I'll be more interested when I see some real linu support. (-:

Re: Emotiv!!!!

Not as "cool" looking, but I recently picked up a Mindset.  http://store.neurosky.com/collections/hardware

Granted, it's still pricey at $200, but if I'm wearing a thing on my head, I want it to have speakers and a mic.  Otherwise, one can go for the $100 device[or pickup a Jedi Force Trainer and hack the thing]

Haven't tried it under linux yet, right now I'm working on a chrome app to read the data.  I believe there is a python clone of the server version which will run on linux as well as windows.

Very nice. Any interest in bringing your work to a meeting to show off? I for one would be interested in seeing that in person.

Re: Emotiv!!!!

I'm unlikely to have any "work" done till next month...  Ran into a problem with the speakers/bluetooth and playing internet video...plus I picked up a Chronos through tideals.com [and of course, had to throw in a bunch of launchpads]...and then discovered TI's generous samples policy[I think they fedexed me between 100$ and 200$ worth of chips.....  I don't know WHY they use fedex!] - so I have a bunch of stuff to play with.

Lacking in space to play with it[my wife's not thrilled with my wielding a soldering iron in the house. :-)]  but I have a ton of project ideas to play with for the next few months...if I can just get my damn PHP coding done so I have free time. :-)

Hope to make it to the next meeting.  Will bring them along in case anyone wants to check them out.

I certainly  understand the lack of space and free time. That Chronos deal was to good for me to pass up, too. I'm still looking forward to getting to that project.

What samples did you get? I think I've gotten them to send me a few very small things in the past but only perhaps $20 or so worth.
