Android Study Collaborative: Where to start, How to get involved

Read http://squidwrench.org/android-resources first!

People are on three basic paths:

  1. I need to get back up to speed with OOP, Java, and Android. Look at this => http://mobile.tutsplus.com/tutorials/android/java-tutorial/ and  http://developer.android.com/resources/browser.html?tag=tutorial
  2. I know a OOP Language, so I can pick up Java as I go, but want to study Android Tutorials. Look at this => http://developer.android.com/resources/browser.html?tag=tutorial
  3. Want to jump right in and learn as I go. Then join in on the Android Study Collaborative meetings.

Check the Calendar  http://squidwrench.org/calendar for Android Study Collaborative ( Will need a Google+ account) and/or Android Developer Days and join in! If the time or the subject does not suit you, please post to the forum and gather others that can meet when you can and have a similar intrest. We have found that Google+ hangouts with extras can be VERY productive.

Find our open discussion on IRC on chat.us.freenode.net  the #squidwrench channel, or just click on http://squidwrench.org/chat
Please fell free to ask questions of me Joe_kd2aku, Sean Swehla aka [sqwr]thor or Sean Dague aka sdague

Start doing something with Android Devlopment TODAY and share. No one will judge; it will be a positive experance!

If you don't start now, you will most likely end up doing nothing. So it doesn't matter where you start, help will be given to thoes who try and do.
