Android Development Success and Android Development Reprise
On saturday, the Kershaw's hosted ADD1. About 14 people showed up and to my knowledge at least 12 left with Hello, Android working. I witnessed a tally app, a dice roller, the begginings of a chat app, and several people completing a few of the more advanced tutorials. Of the huge turnout, we had great representation from the Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users' Group. They've even posted some pictures.
Weekly Doing - With 100% MORE TUESDAY!
We've moved the weekly meeting yet again. We will now meet on Tuesdays at the same location and time. Hopefully this will accomodate more of the folks that couldn't make it to other meetings.

Summer Inkling
It's time to get those frontal lobes in gear. We need another Inkling. Inkling projects should be small enough to be completed in a week, complicated enough to be interesting, and free-form enough for our right-hemispheres to play along. If you have an idea for one, or the beginnings of an idea, bring it to the meeting this Thursday to discuss.

New Meeting Time
We've officially changed the meeting time from 9pm to 7pm. Same location, same day of the week, new, more accomodating time. Hope to see everyone there.

A Slight Change in M.O.
We have, of late and as a whole, become somewhat lost on our way toward being an organization of "doing." Too many of our meetings are all talking, and are at locations which are not conducive to anything else. I accept full responsibility for this, and I apologize. I would also like to begin effecting a fix. To this end, I have started a discussion at the past two meetings as well as this thread. Please pop over and share your opinions of the proposal on the table.

Squidwrench URL Now 20 Characters Shorter!
Thanks to the wonders of modern technology the official Squidwrench(tm) website can now be found at squidwrench.org. All references to the old site (including RSS feeds) should be automagically forwarded to the new site.
Cancelling Tiny Colossal Squid Exhibition
Sorry for the late notice. The church still doesn't have power, and I know that several people might not have been able to attend anyhow since many of you are still dealing with the power outages and other issues that came with this round of snow. We'll start a thread in the forum and figure out another weekend that we can do this.

Captcha
It appears that we have been noticed by the spam bots. In an attempt to alleviate this annoyance I have added a captcha to the user registration form. If necessary, this can be added in other places as well, but I will try to avoid being obnoxious with it as much as I possibly can.
